Global Council for
Non-Governmental Organizations
A membership-based international umbrella council for NGOs, CBOs, nonprofit organizations, and the professionals who serve them. We support, connect, strengthen, and represent the organizations that serve the world.
Who We Are
GCONGO is not a direct-service NGO. We are a council for NGOs — an international umbrella body that exists to strengthen the organizations and professionals doing the work on the ground. Through membership, capacity building, ethical standards, and international advocacy, we raise the standard of civil society worldwide.
What We Do
Four pillars that define our work for NGOs worldwide.
Membership & Accreditation
Membership for registered NGOs, CBOs, and nonprofits — plus verification and accreditation that build credibility with donors and partners.
Capacity Building
Training for NGO staff in governance, fundraising, project management, compliance, M&E, and financial management.
Networking & Partnerships
Connections with NGOs, donors, governments, foundations, and development partners across borders.
Advocacy & Representation
A collective voice for NGOs on the international stage — advocating for the sector and the communities it serves.

Message from the Founding CEO
“GCNGO exists because NGOs do their best work when they are well-governed, well-connected, and well-represented. We are not a direct-service NGO — we are a council for NGOs. Our mission is to raise the standard of the entire sector, and to stand with NGOs as partners, advocates, and peers.”
Wozniak Adam
The founding CEO, GCONGO
